V Involved

V Involved is a national government scheme aimed at young people aged 16-24 to encourage them to volunteer their time to help others.

Young people receive certificates for completing 100 and 200 hours of voluntary work. The work you carry out is your choice entirely, as long as it is of benefit to people other than yourself. Whatever activity you undertake as a volunteer, it looks great on your CV, as the experience you have gained gives you that extra something to talk about at an interview. Employers know that V Involved volunteers are people with motivation, dedication and the ability to work hard.

Lots of students at MMU have already got involved in V Involved and have been awarded the Award and Award of Excellence. You can get involved too with the voluntary work you do as a student, You just need to register and the V Involved Team will get in touch with you about counting your time! You can even backdate previous voluntary work towards the award so you could already be on your way to your first certificate!

If you want any more information, please get in touch with theV Involved Team or ask for a registration form from coMMUni.
