Terms and Conditions

For your information the following terms and conditions are stated for coMMUni volunteers.

Data Protection Statement:
Information about you is collected and used by coMMUni for the purpose of providing you with relevant information and advice about volunteering opportunities. All such information is confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone else, e.g. opportunity providers, without your express consent. Records are securely held and only available to yourself and Student Services staff.

Our Service to you:
coMMUni will use its best endeavours to find a suitable opportunity which best meets your needs.
coMMUni will endeavour to check that the ‘host’ agency will provide a good volunteering opportunity, for example in relation to Health and Safety, ongoing support and training, as is deemed appropriate.
coMMUni will treat all volunteers equally in accordance with MMU’s equal opportunities policy.
coMMUni staff are able to provide ongoing support, and are available during office hours should you wish to discuss any aspect of your volunteering opportunity.

Your responsibilities to us:
coMMUni expect that as an ambassador for MMU, you will treat everyone with whom you have contact in an equal and fair manner, and in accordance with MMU’s equal opportunities policy.
In addition, whilst you are a volunteer you behave in an appropriate and responsible manner, and act with due care and attention for the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.
Should there be any changes to your personal circumstances or problems with your placement, it is your responsibility to notify both the host organisation and coMMUni staff immediately you become aware of changes that will affect your commitment.
