coMMUni is about anything and everything to do with volunteering. We will support and assist any student or staff member at MMU in finding the right volunteering opportunity. If you have a question about volunteering we will try and find you the answer.

We are funded by the Higher Education Active Community Fund (HEACF). MMU bid for money from this initiative that will last until July 2009. Every Higher Educational Institute in England has also received income from the HEACF. The fund is there to encourage greater involvement of students and staff in their local community, by volunteering in the not-for-profit or charity sector, and by encouraging the community to make more use of the facilities in HEI's. The HEACF is just one part of the wider social improvement initiatives funded by the Higher Education Funding Council in England (HEFCE) and the DFES.
